Earth Day Run 2016 – Green Team

Go, Go Green!

On behalf of Asia World Events , let me congratulate all of our Running Toons Contest WINNERS below for being part of Earth Day Run 2016 which will be held on 24th April 2016 at Padang Merbok, Kuala Lumpur.

As you can see from their winning captions below, they are all passionate about doing something to help our natural environment, and we are proud to have them to represent Running Toons first ever Green Team. Although, Running Toons have given away 17 free running slots for 7 major running events since our inception in August 2015, this is the first time that we have assembled a team of passionate Runners to run and support such a worthy cause of Giving Back To Mother Mature.

Meet Our Green Team With Their Winning Captions!

Adley – “I believe in a sustainable lifestyle.”

Hannah – “I believe that if everyone walked and ran, the Earth would be a much greener and much happier (because of all those endorphins!) place.”

Jeffrey – “I would love to join the EDR 2016 because we only have one earth and is our land that raise us, without our Mother Earth there would be nothing left for us. Awareness and a thankful heart is the way to show appreciation with love.”

Kelvin – “I like to be the ignition of awareness of global change by joining EDR2016. I wish to encourage people surrounding me to start leading a healthier lifestyle and be nice to the environment, after all we are only one of millions species who share the same planet.”

Maryati – “By using the Public Transport instead of driving to work, I have managed to reduce my carbon footprint.”

Mohd Shukri – “I want to join Earth Day Run 2016 (EDR 2016), because running is something anyone can do, no matter what age, condition or gender, and i get so much out of it.”

Muhammad  Firdaus – “I want to run EDR 2016 because i very in love with running since start run 2 year ago plus i like enter event because like to compete with others (my 10k pb 47min). But one thing i feel a little bid sad about it is about the running event fee is abit expensive, since i start running i only able enter around 10 running event. So i hope i had oppurtunity to enter edr 2016 so i can try to compete for winning the race.”

Oscar – “I would like to participate in the Earth Day Run 2016 is to show as  we (runners) do not want to lose our natural and beautiful running trails. By running at this event will definitely create public awareness and concern about this campaign on more greener, more sustainable future. Proud to be part of it !”

Shaun – “I would like to join Earth Day Run 2016 in support of a movement to create awareness in protecting and preserving our precious Mother Earth. I believe that running enables others to experience and appreciate the beauty Mother Nature has for us runners via fresh air and beautiful sceneries.”

Syarifah – “I consider myself a nature lover and as a retired biologist, the topic of environmental preservation has always been close to my heart. I alone might not be able to change the world, but I believe each of us has our own responsibility in protecting and preserving this planet we called home, and we should all do our part in supporting this cause.”

Wai Ching – “I have been joining Earth Day Run 2015 and it giving out a plant to everyone who took part in the run and I have plant it at my housing area. Hope this year I am able to get this slot and plant another one beside it and make the earth greener.”

We hope that the Green Team will not enjoy themselves during the event, as well as share their “running green” experience with their family and friends to spread the message of Earth Day.
