Vital Race Information For GCE Duathlon 2018


Editor’s Note

Saturday, 15th September 2018 is the most IMPORTANT day for GCE Duathletes, next to race day itself, because they MUST collect their race kit FIRST at KL Gateway Mall (10am~6pm), THEN check-in their bikes at GCE Bukit Jelutong Toll Plaza (4pm~9pm)….

Since this is a new event at a new venue, I have spelled out below the most critical activities which you MUST be aware of, and follow them to ensure that you have a smooth, safe & enjoyable GCE Duathlon debut.

The GCE Highway will close from 3AM to 2PM on Sunday, 16 September.



👉Parking will be available around at Mydin @ Bukit Jelutong, Plaza Jelutong and Jaya Grocer @ Plaza Jelutong.

👉Parking Area is 1km to race venue.

👉Parking is at your own discretion & please DON’T leave valuables in your cars.

PLAN AHEAD and refer to instruction guide to search the above map for parking.

“Bike Check In” for participants on Saturday, 15 September 2018 at Bukit Jelutong Toll Plaza Layby (South bound) from 4:00pm to 9:00pm. All bikes MUST display their event bike numbers.

The Transition Area will OPEN from 4.00am to 6.00am on event day morning (16 September) for inspection and last minute adjustments.


After the event ends, all the bikes must check out from the Transition Area latest by 1.30PM to ensure the safety of all the participants as the highway will reopen at 2.00PM.

Entry into the Transition Area is only permitted for participants with the valid bib numbers.

NOTE: Bike check in is only applicable for duathlon participants; fun ride participants are not required to lay bikes overnight.
