Lunch, Coffee & Jujumello At Anther & Stigma

Lunch, Coffee & Jujumello At Anther & Stigma

I accompanied my wife Maryati to a Sunday luncheon at Plaza Arkadia in Desa Park City, organised for the customers of Jujumello Intimates (Lingerie Shop).

Video: Introduction

The venue was the elegantly hip…

“Anther & Stigma” Floral Café which is a restaurant-cum-florist only recently opened in February 2018. The spacious surroundings of Plaza Arkadia reminds me of Publika in Mont Kiara during its early days before all the shops and crowds moved it.

What struck me most about Anther & Stigma were its 20 feet high ceiling, and the well-designed furnishings and flora-themed decorations. It makes a great place for a spot of lunch or coffee in a relaxing atmosphere with lots of natural sunlight.

Our lunch was a simple yet delicious roast chicken with mushroom or orange gravy and french fries which was accompanied by a refreshing glass of cold lemon grass tea and vanilla mix.

Our host Mel had invited Barista Andrew of 43 Coffee (TTDI) to share his tips on how to appreciate good coffee.

I had always wondered how those Baristas can create intricate designs in coffees, and Andrew demonstrated how the 3 basic designs of Heart, Rosetta & Tulip are cleverly created while pouring milk on the coffee. Indeed, it was fascinating to listen to Coffee Aficionado like Andrew talk passionately about the simple pleasures of coffee drinking and the intricacies of processing, and roasting of raw beans, and the brewing and tasting of coffee.

The perfect blend of Fashion and Food made it a most enjoyable Sunday outing for Maryati and I, and subsequently, we must thank our lunch host Mel, venue host Anther & Stigma, and Barista Andrew for it.
