Editor’s Note

RBC Race For The Kids 2016 took placed on 16th October 2016, and it was one of my all-time favourite charity run. I can unequivocally recommend this quality event to families who want to spend Sunday morning together in the beautiful surroundings of Lake Gardens, and apart from the 5km Fun Run, there will also be many fun-packed activities lined-up for the kids.

Family Fun In The Sun For A Great Cause

Royal Bank of Canada (RBC) today announced that RBC Race for the Kids will return to Kuala Lumpur on Sunday, 29 October 2017 at the scenic Perdana Botanical Gardens.

RBC Race for the Kids KL 2017 is a 5km non-competitive charity run that is expected to attract more than 1,800 runners and walkers of all ages in support of RBC’s charity partner, Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC) Malaysia.

The inaugural RBC Race for the Kids in 2016 raised over RM 200,000 and attracted more than 1,500 participants. The funds raised enabled RMHC Malaysia to build two Sensory Rooms in the Klang Valley.  For this year, RBC and RMHC Malaysia aim to raise more than RM 90,000 to fund a third Ronald McDonald Sensory Room at Sekolah Semangat Maju Taiping (SSMT) for children with learning disabilities, autism, Down syndrome and cerebral palsy

RBC Race for the Kids takes place in more than 15 locations around the world including London, Vancouver, Minneapolis, Toronto, New York, Chicago, Sydney, Luxembourg, Hong Kong, and Kuala Lumpur, attracting more than 124,000 participants. Since its launch in New York in 2009, RBC Race for the Kids has raised over US$27 million for children’s charities around the globe.
