🚴REDISCOVER KEDAH CENTURY RIDE 2016

🚴REDISCOVER KEDAH CENTURY RIDE 2016

📝EDITOR’S NOTE

Last year, the newly launched Kedah Century Ride (KCR) gave cyclists a new and memorable experience as I described in My Article in The Star newspaper.

This year’s KCR was originally planned to include a 30km leg inside Thailand, but the sudden demise of King Bhumipol recently had laid to rest those plans out of respect for the people of Thailand.

Fortunately, the show will go on, and I believe that KCR 2016 will offer a memorable ride through the spectacular Kedah landscapes of paddy fields, mountains, forest, traditional malay villages, and not forgetting, Bandar Alor Setar.

Whether you are cycling competitively or just for personal satisfaction, I hope that you have a safe and enjoyable last century ride of 2016…

EXCERPTS from my Previous Preview :-

“…Kedah Century offers an unforgettable ride through striking green rice fields, water canal crossings and the local cross-winds of the flat plains will test the cyclist’s riding strength and determination. Indeed, there are many interesting cultural traditions in Kedah such as rice-growing and kite-flying which forms part of the rich tapestry of our beautiful countryside – there’s no other ride like it!..”
