18 months ago, I walked to into my local Maxis Payment Centre like I usually do every month to settle my bill. This time, the counter girl asked me if I was interested in getting a a HTC smartphone for free. I asked her what was the “catch”. Apparently, HTC, being a relative new market player, was keen to place their smartphones into the hands of consumers who were favouring more popular brands such as Iphone, Blackberry and Nokia. In return, the consumer had to sign-up for a RM50 voice/data package for a minimum of 18 months. Well, since I had never owned a smartphone before, I took-up the deal. Fast forward to today, now I can say that I never regretted my decision to acquire the android-powered mobile; it hasn’t failed me once, and it has given me uncountable hours of joy.
My mobile is always with me on my runs, and the reverse-angle mode allows me to take some quirky candid shots with my running buddies who I meet along the way. As soon as I have captured 1,000 of such candid shots, I plan to put them altogether in a video and upload to Youtube.
So, the next time you see a crazy guy taking a photo himself, it could be me. Then, I hope you will pose for one shot with me.
